Netcfg edits the files in /etc/sysconfig, specifically /etc/sysconfig/network
and the files in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts.
Why isn't netcfg working? You can edit these files by hand, but (I know I might
get trampled on by some for this) since these files are created by the GUI they
might not be very readable.
