Is your network driver module loaded?

If not, make sure kerneld is running before this script is executed, then
create an alias of "eth0" for the name of your driver module in
/etc/conf.modules, for example:

alias eth0 3c59x

It seems that you aren't the only one experiencing this... I've seen other
messages complaining about this (in other mailing lists).  I haven't seen
the solution, but I suspect that someone here will be able to tell you.
