Help (PPP)

Hello all,


I'm installing my Linux to connect in my ISP using a Leased line. My 
problem is that my chat program don't receive the CONNECT response of the 
other modem. The pppd don't execute, because the chat program exit in 
the timeout.
The modem is USRobotics 56K (my and ISP).
Does anyone have any tips or recommendations, scripts, etc. ??
The Leased HOW-TO don't help me.
