HSP means "host signal processing" which is what a winmodem _does_ and _is_.
The reson software probably has not been written for it is most likely the
lack of documentation by the chip vendor. "win" modems would no longer be
winmodems if they ran on other OS's :) I suspect MS has something to do with
this you think ?
