basically the linux kernel can't automatically detect ram > 64MB. so you
have to specify the amount of ram if it is greater than 64MB.... (this is
quite a silly restriction imho, becauz even windoz detects this ram......).
this is basically a limitation of the pc architecture.... in fact u can even
show ram=1gb by giving the command mem=1024MB, but yr kernel will surely
give problems when it tries to access this nonexistent RAM.. mandrake linux
even asks for the amount of ram u hav when u install (mdk 7.0)

add a line >>>>> additional="mem=128M" <<<<<<<< in yr /etc/lilo.conf file
under the "linux" section to make it permenent.....
