While downloading news (at about 2Kbps) I saw less than 1% CPU usage by diald
and 20% CPU usage by dctrl (with an AMD 486 DX4/100).
With the link down dctrl goes to 10%.
The freeze I experienced with dctrl that I spoke about in another message, is
due to this error:

bgerror failed to handle background error.
Original error: too many nested calls to Tcl_EvalObj (infinite loop?)
Error in bgerror: error while autoloading "bgerror": too many nested calls
o Tcl_EvalObj (infinite loop?)

maybe my machine is just too slow for the new dctrl?
(just checked: old dctrl with the link down only consumes 3% of CPU and less than 10%
with the link up)
