What you'd like to do is make your box become a gateway.
of course you need diald to start connexions on demand but you also
need to transform it in a firewall. so i suggest you to read the
mini-firewall howto.
you'll need to rebuild your kernel with appropriates parameters and
install ipchains or ipfwadm and teel your client to know your linux box
as a gateway.
