Hi, I posted this message once already, but I was wondering(hoping) someone
had seen something about it. I have a modem(ttyS1) and and ISDN line(ttyS0)
connected to this computer I use to provide masquerading to a few windows
computers. Anyways, my question is: How can I have diald use the modem via
the chat-ppp1 connect script between 8 and 5 weekdays and then have it use
the ISDN via the chat-ppp0 all other times? Currently I am using the ISDN
always with a more restricting filter for between 8 and 5, but I would much
prefer using the normal phone line and a different ISP during those times.
My only idea for this is to run 2 dialds and have one use a filter that
keeps it down on the modem outside of 8-5, and the other to keep the isdn
down 8-5. There doesn't happen to be a feature in diald does there? I
don't want to have to manually do this. It needs to be automated. If I'm
on the right track with running 2 dialds, could someone point out how I
would start the second up? I'm not exactly sure about it? Would I simply
put in into my rc.local or what? Does it have to run from a different
directory or can I just specify which conf file to use and it'll just go?
I need some help with the techincal details,
Jacob Joseph
