I've got diald working...after a fashion, but even though i'm online
(PPP seems to be running), i can't ping outside or browse anywhere
outside my mini network.
When i dial out with wvdial everything's ok which led me to believe that
it can't be my network setup as both wvdial and diald are running on the
same machine/same network (process of elimination).

Here's a snippet of my diald.conf

===========================

# connect /usr/lib/diald/connect
# connect.isp is a modified form of the supplied connect script. No
major changes to it just personal details.

------

The only obvious 'dodgy' thing is this line from my 'messages' file

Dec 8 19:54:46 Spidey diald[917]: start sl0: SIOCSIFMETRIC: Operation
not supported

When i try to ping other machines in the ether (the net), i get the
following:

ping: sendto: Network is unreachable

My network seems to work okay. I can ping other machines from any other
machine on the network. I'm also running samba but the email has'nt been
set up yet. One step at a time people.

If anyone can help....thank's y'all.
