you'll have to find out to which pins of the SAA the 3-wire-bus is connected before you can implement this...
Eric was talking about a dbox2. there is no saa (besides of the pal encoder of course) :-)

but believe me or not -- there exist a few SP8870 based DVB-T cards with 3-wire-PLL, I still have one on my desk...
