Thanks, but it seems to have been applied in int sp5659_set_tv_freq() instead of in int tdlb7_ioctl() where I put it. I doubt that it even compiles in this shape. If you want to have the test in sp5659_set_tv_freq instead I could rewrite it to go there.
You also don't seem to have applied it to dvb-kernel, but that is your choice.
