Hi,
The data the server gets has to be piped to a frontend app like xine
or mplayer. This gets:
tcpserver --silent --port 2000 | xine stdin://
Nice solution.
Hows deinterlacing and broken stream handling on xine? Any good?
Deinterlacing is very nice. Turned on, the stream appears to be very
smooth. Only text on the screen seems to be blurred sometimes -
especially when it's scrolling text. Broken stream handling is not too
bad but if your connection is really unstable - bad weather with dvb-s -
a real receiver attached to a TV is of course much better. Anyway,
it's a fast and simple solution that doesn't require much setup.
See you,
-André.
