linux-ha CVS committal

Modified Files:
configure.in

Log Message:
Put in some code to detect missing directories, and also to drop a trailing "64"
from libdir and libexecdir if the directory doesn't exist.

Sigh. Again, you're overriding explicit commandline arguments. This is
broken. (Just as having a wrapper around configure. Oh, well.)

Other projects manage to do without this, I wonder why we need this ugly
hack.

I'm going to simply patch this out again for our builds, but I just
wanted to mention this a final time and now be quiet for the rest of my
life...

This will ONLY happen if it has been incorrectly specified. So, I don't see a reason to patch it out for anyone. It will only happen if someone specifically specified --libdir=/usr/lib64 AND /usr/lib64 doesn't exist.

Right now, what we have doesn't work. I'm trying to get back to something that actually works again, if you don't mind too much.
