I agree in general. But what I see is so far not viable. The old system is Debian Etch, no longer acceptable due to age. If I did not have heartbeat package installed at all, and compiled it from source, it is a somewhat lower risk to be fscked up by updates. Anyway, is there "something else" that could run on top of drbd and provide starting and stopping of services? Or is there a crm that does not involve any "xml"?
