Yes I am aware that ptcII did switch to pactor I mode when I
called it. And Jose has sent me a part of the ptcII manual that explains
to me, and old EE what they are doing and it sounds like good engineering.
I have no idea what type of DSP filter they designed but it must be
working well. There "raised cosign" waveform is one we studied somewhere
and it approximated the matched waveform for a perfect bandpass filter.
You can get this waveform by using phase shift keying where the phase
never goes beyond 360 degrees.
I am convinced ptcII works "better" than my MFJ 1276. I would hope
so considering the cost differance...:-)
