Hi Lane,
        A man after my own heart! I am certain that with the ax25 util you
can make a functional Gateway. But there are problems with the keyboard
users. I am working that problem right now. The method used is to set up
axspawn to the callsign of your gate. Read the man page for axspawn for
ideas on how to use this. I have set up here so a single file I can modify
becomes .profile in every axspawn login directory. With this we can talk
to the user and give him choices. 

        I'm trying to do everything with bash files. Will resort to C if
it appears to be a lot better. And if this gets to you direct I will send
you a longer paper I am working on.
