I spent quite a while some time ago hunting down the comparable information for
the TS-440.  Kenwood does not make it easy, since they sell their "interface
control" kits (IC-xx) for this purpose.  In the case of the TS-440, the
interface control kit is literally two Maxim RS-232 driver chips in a box, and
they are inserted into the sockets provided for them.  The software is a little
better situation, since there are a number of programs available on the net. 
Unfortunately, I can't help you with the TS-450 because I don't know how
similar it is to the TS-440.
