4 MB is too little, I think the doc says at least 6 MB. I couldn't even
start from the boot-floppy (to do an ftp-installation) using RH4.2 and
4 MB, I had to buy 4 MB extra. So you will need 8 MB of RAM to even
install RH.

I have been using an 386 25 MHz with 8 MB of RAM without problem.
Ok, when you want to read your mail and start elm things may take
some time, but it works. I am running node, xfbb, and the usual
servers. I use a DRSI card.
