Based on my own illegal use of DOS 1.01 through 4.1 which it
seemed everyone was doing gave Bill Gates the reason to be obsessed by the
wide spread use. I bought version 5.0 because I wanted the book, and I was
then being paid better and could afford it.
Since Bill Gates is so rich now it appears his worries were not
founded, or, they didn't matter. I suspect it doesn't matter because
people like Netscape give away their product and still make good money.
