A few of us are about to embark on installing our newly received RedHat
6.0 release to upgrade from RH4.2 and the 2.42a ax25utils. What we need
to know is what release and from where, of the ax25 utilities should be
used with this kernel. I have heard about a soon to be released new
ax25 utility package and wonder if we should wait? Wait for how long?
When is it anticipated it will be available? One of the problems we are
running into with practice loads of RH5.2 and ax25utils is the unstable
set of utilities versus the glibc library scheme Recdhat used in the 5.x
series releases. So, primary issues:
        - what ax25util package to use for RH6.0 (kernel 2.2.x)?
        - what nettools package to use for (ditto)?
As a backup posture, assuming we would have to back up to the 5.2
release (still newer than what we are currently using), what ax25 util
and nettools packages should we use?

In responding, what are the current URLs for these trouble free packages
where we can we find the correct software?

Thanks,
Steve/K7CCR
