That was not right with me.

I tried :
gated-3.5.9-200.i386.rpm (from ftp.contrib.redhat.com)
gated-3.5.10-1.i386.rpm (from RedHat 5.2)

Both give me the same problem in rip: they don't broadcast anything.

Yes, because the period of transmission is not set in the standard. It is a
decision of the implementator.

I'd like to ! The problem with rip-98 is that it is not implemented in jnos
(and this gateway still exist). I want a working solution, not the better (wich
rip-98 surely is). On the other hand, gated is so powerful, it is very
interesting to experiment with in on radio !
