I prefeer the file option: you put here exactly what you want to
announce
and there is no danger to propagate erroneous routes. That is cleaner.

But on the other hand reading the routes from the kernel can allow
some type of interoperability with other routing protocols. ? But
maybe the result is not what you want !

Yes. I have defined some test subnets, to have interfaces in netrom
and rose protocol. This ips are not official, they are in a range
of "testing ips" (44.128, or 44.133.128), and I don't want to propagate
them.
On the gateway, there is also some "strange" routes, that I put to
test full-duplex operation.
