John try the Unix cut and paste. Use the left mouse key to select
the text, and then place the curser where you want it placed and press the
middle key. This works fine in xterm windows and some other software using
a vt-100 type window. It does not work with xfbb for x windows. I think it
did work in tnos but that was years ago. Sure glad to move on from nos to
Linux.
