Well, seems that was a problem with an apparently corrupted
/etc/z8530drv.conf file, since after a few handling between
the linux box and my windoze machine seems all is working. :->

Anyway, sccinit don't complaint about a missing (or may be corrupted)
/etc/z8530drv.conf file.
