Read your ham licence - it's quite clear on that point, and the
relevant clauses were quoted in my previous post.

Remember that marine and amateur licences include several clauses that
conflict, giving different requirements. This is presumably one of
them.

As it happens, I was on a Dutch Registered vessel at the time, having
flown over to visit some pen-pals who took me sailing along the coast.
They were fascinated by my use of ham radio, and I believe at least
one of them has since obtained his own licence.

At the time, the UK CEPT rules required that one comply with both the
British and foreign licences, and the recent change to that condition
didn't apply. As a result, I'm not aware of whether this requirement
still applies, as that now only depends on the wording of the Dutch
licence as a result of that change.

True.

Very true - although in my experience, AMD processors are faster than
Intel ones, and Cyrix processors slower. However, there's nobody can
rival Microsoft for creating slow programs.

Best wishes from Riley.

There is something frustrating about the quality and speed of Linux
development, ie., the quality is too high and the speed is too high,
in other words, I can implement this XXXX feature, but I bet someone
else has already done so and is just about to release their patch.
