  MySQL dies on my Alpha every now and then, mod_perl's startup scripts
for persistent MySQL connections can't handle it, mod_perl makes the httpd
panic even if the script doesn't. And i was on the countryside for a tiny
holiday. S... happens. And the .... is so d... complicated to debug
with all those embedded languages and coding styles.

  Restarted them now, i'll try to figure out what's really wrong once
i've figured out what to eat tonight.
