REQUEST FOR HARDWARE RECOMMENDATION

I was wondering if someone might recommend 
some hardware for a FIRST TIME BUYER... me. :)
Although I've had my HAM license for several
years, I don't have equipment to utilize it.

I would like to purchase;

1.) An all band reciever.
2.) An all band transmitter.
3.) A packet modem.
4.) Other components such as a repeater, etc.

I have several computers with Linux (RH 5.2 and 6.1) installed 
and don't need to buy more.
