<sarcasm>Which is, of course, why h4x0r sploits never work on Linux,
either. It's impossible to subvert Linux security by automated
means.</sarcasm>
Seriously, though, as someone who uses ONLY Linux on all my machines,
I'm disappointed in the gang-bang on the poor schmo who sent out a
public warning.
Obviously, there are at least TWO people who use a Windows program for
their main mailer on this list (the one who sent out the virus, the
one who haplessly caught it), and there may be more who'd benefit from
a warning. It was a generous gesture by someone to try and keep others
from suffering his own painful fate -- NOT an invitation for dumb OS
flames. I mean, if someone's on linux-hams, do they really need an
anti-Microsoft lecture?
Folks who are tired of hearing virus alerts should crack open their
.procmailrc or equivalent and do some regexp magic. Jeez louise!
