This is what I use for a BPQ Ethernet port:-

echo "BPQ Attach"
/sbin/ifconfig bpq1 hw ax25 g0wtk-15 up
echo "BPQ Link params"
/sbin/ifconfig bpq1 44.131.57.225 netmask 255.255.0.0 mtu 236
sleep 1


In AXPORTS

ether   G0WTK-15        10000000 236    7       WKSOP   Link


This is used in a link to a Dos/BPQ machine.
