Despite RFC1918, with todays depleting IPv4 space, a wasted /12 (1048576
IPs mind you) for private IP space is really stupid, and RFC1918 should be
mended if you ask me. If 10.0.0.0/8 wasn't so widely used for private ip
space, I'd say toss it and return it to the routed IP space, and use the
/12 one instead.

If already on that topic of bitching about ARIN, them there are some other
players like IBM, who use 9.0.0.0/8 as their IBM global internal net, and
do not route it to the world, thus making a whole /8 into private IP space
for their usage. Since 9.0.0.0 is not routed anywhere beyond IBMs internal
net, they could have used 10.0.0.0/8.

If you have some spare time, try whois [EMAIL PROTECTED] up to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Then try calculating how much of that huge IP
space is wasted.
