A major change in ICQ's SMS-sending website (used to send SMSs to Cellcom
phones) is the reason I am releasing a new version of SendSMS for the second
time this month. As usual, you can find the latest release in:

This release is also good news for people who failed to install the SSLeay
package, which was previously needed (for accessing SSL sites); ICQ's site
is longer uses SSL, and the SSLeay package no longer needs to be installed
for SendSMS to work.

I will profess a bit of ignorance here.

SSLeay has not been maintained for YEARS. It has, instead, been renamed to "openssl", which is almost universally available. Why insist on using the old version?
