XP boots in 30 seconds, but it's not ready to use, > only appears so. Try executing something it'll take it's time. I have my mcp title, and I do know that in windows some services are loaded after you log-in, in linux just move dm to 02 and put all other after dm, you will need network to loaded before dm, this can reduse about 10 seconds (way too optimistc, but you can get about 7 seconds if you reorganize the startup scrptis and remove unneeded things (mandrake puts a lot of shit trust me).
You will be surprised, but mozilla can be used in my XP 40 secs after I pressed enter on lilo (it default to linux, so i have to navigate one option down to windows). Much better then in linux. -- diego, Please avoid sending me Word or PowerPoint attachments.
