I haven't used Nautilus in eons, in fact it's one of the first packages
I uninstall after apt-getting a new gnome. it's got memory leaks up the
wazoo, after a huge memory footprint to begin with. call me
old-fashioned, but I'm quite content with the CLI until a worthy system
comes along. crashing on a silly thing like this is a sign of bad design
IMHO.
Actually, I'm just after the clean look and feel of Gnome.
I too don't use KDE's GUI for file manipulation so often), it's just that:
1. Nautilus seems to be startted as part of the default gnome session
or somesuch, so until I get to disable it, it's pretty annoying.
2. Sometimes it's useful to have a way to view files in a GUI, or be able to
drag-and-drop files around.
Thanks,
