The official distribution spans over some 14 CDs. If you have a decent
internet connection there is really no point in downloading more than
the first. Actually even less: you can use the "business-card" ISO.

One thing to note if you use the netinst/business-card installers: they
only have the minimal kernel and not an optimized one. 

  apt-get install kernel-image-2.6-686
