Good and valid (IMO) analogies, but.. > Frankly, I don't see how this planet.linux.org.il solves any fragmentation > issue. If I continue with the newspaper analogy, this is simply yet another > newspaper, I disagree on that one. A planet aggregates many "newspapers" (blogs). So it doesn't add another fragment but rather a new view on many existing ones. In this sense, it's a very good cohesive force because it exposes a multitude of people/views in the community (I know I've read many good posts of people I didn't know before). So this thread was definitely successfull in spreading the word about the existence of this planet. -- Oron Peled Voice/Fax: +972-4-8228492 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.actcom.co.il/~oron ICQ UIN: 16527398 "There are lies, damned lies, and statistics" -- Benjamin Disraeli "...and benchmarks" -- Garry Hodgson ================================================================To unsubscribe, send mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word "unsubscribe" in the message body, e.g., run the command echo unsubscribe | mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]
