Good and valid (IMO) analogies, but..

I disagree on that one. A planet aggregates many "newspapers" (blogs).
So it doesn't add another fragment but rather a new view on many
existing ones.

In this sense, it's a very good cohesive force because it exposes
a multitude of people/views in the community (I know I've read many
good posts of people I didn't know before). So this thread was
definitely successfull in spreading the word about the existence of
this planet.
