According to MS, since they "invented" the .NET, that's where office
apps are headed. modularize, the customer will run the binary over the
net and only the needed modules are loaded and charged for (in their
pink dream people pay per invokation of module some micropayment, you
don't pay for the modules you don't use). Think about a future where
buying a software product is very much like deciding on entertainment
packages from your cable operator.

Ouch.
