[sigh] Emacs is not a word processor, it's a text editor. If you enjoy word-processing in plaintext mode, that's your prerogative. You can also use it for image and sound editing, why not? I personally, although I'm not afraid of command-lines, and although I write my HTML in a text editor, strongly prefer WYSIWYG when it comes to DTP. This is a consumer product we're talking about, and I've used a Macintosh for too long not to appreciate when a GUI is a blessing and when it is a bane.
