sure they are entirely two different things.
one use of automated login(s) is automation of test cases or simualtion of network (
on a
real network )
for e.g. you are simulating a network or trying to judge an algo.
see what i am trying to reveal is that these tests run for hours and hours,
they log the results and a person cannot be made to login thousand times.
now there is an another advantage which is that suppose in a network
you are having computers ( may be diskless ...but suppose with ram in case of diskless)
ok all those protocols like ARP, RARP will of course run....hence diskless do not have
any
major difference.
and suppose you do not want to boot from hard disk ( guli guli choooo gayab )
you can always come up with automated login where password is pre-decided between the
booting computer and
the computer who is booting it.
and after the booting the computer is having a telnet/ftp session to work on....as
accordingly.
and you do not require a whole operating system over here only a session.
