The "sort" utility from the GNU textutils package seems to be
behaving differently between distributions. Here is sample of the
difference between SuSe 6.2 and RedHat 6.1:
[RedHat 6.1]$ sort test
(
(1)
[1]
1
(2)
[2]
2
(A)
A
[B]
B
[SuSE 6.2]$ sort test
(
(1)
(2)
(A)
1
2
A
B
[1]
[2]
[B]
After narrowing down to this difference in an 800 line script, I am too
tired to think. I though it might be a locale issue, but I have good
resons to rule that out. Will some kind soul help please......
