XFree86 4.0 can be configured with one command:

# XFree86 -configure

This will auto detect all u're system's devices and
write a file ~/XF86Config.new, which u can test by
saying:

# XFree86 -xf86config ~/XF86Config.new

If u see the famous X screen with the grey background,
u're all set, and can move the XF86Config.new file to
/etc/XF86Config. This method allows for easy
configuration of multi-head systems and Xinerama also.
