You mean you have lately made some changes and it has become slower than

You do not have very generous RAM, so it will be slower than most of the
machines...
Is it that since the RAM is less, the system is slow so the O/S thinks
that the application is hung or something?

Consider upgrading RAM. But as the last option. See what others have to
say.
Reinstalling again ans again has no adverse effect on your hardware. Or
partition table.
