The problem can be solved by putting the following lines in your lilo.conf
file
append = "mem=256M"
and then linux will recognize all the memory U have.

Because windows was not shut down properly,
one or more of your disk drives might have errors on it.
To avoid seeing this message again, delete all Microsoft
products and install Linux...
