Read the rsync man page, it clearly talks about both rsh and ssh
as backends to connect to the server. In a nutshell, --rsh=COMMAND switch
to rsync allows you to specify any *drop in* replacement of rsh for use
with rsync.
So just install ssh, you can pick up the stuff from
ftp://zeolite.sscu.iisc.ernet.in/pub/local. Start the ssh daemon, and then
use rsync with --rsh=/usr/local/bin/ssh to specify the rsh replacement.

Don't worry over what other people are thinking about you.
They're too busy worrying over what you are thinking about them.
