An excellent suggestion.

In these MTVified days of short attention spans and instant gratification
people don't take the time to learn the ropes.  Take this list itself for
example.  Here are some of my pet peeves:

1. People sending unsubscribe requests to the list (you don't see most of
it because majordomo filters it out and forwards it to
linux-india-help-owner).  They do this inspite of the welcome email that
they get when they subscribe clearly indicating the steps to unsubscribe.

2. People posting the same query again with "I posted this a day ago and
did not get a reply.  Sending again".  I don't know why they think that
posting a second time is going to get them the answers they previously did
not get.

3. People quoting an entire post and adding a one line "me too".

Someone (Syed || Raju) sent me the attached list of proposed guidelines. 
I've been meaning to add it to the list's welcome message.  But what is the
point?  People will continue not reading important instructions.
