Its really a common practice to mix different types of disk management tools. But 
surely its best to stick to one and fdisk i guess is the best. One definite exception 
would be if you want to run OS/2 on the machine too. In that case the OS/2 boot 
manager should be allowed to handle the partitions. But i guess only a few people use 
OS/2 so its not an issue anymore :)
