Hello Sir/Madam,
Before I could brief you about my problem I would like to give you my system
configuration...
I am using HP Biro with P III Processor running with 128 Mb RAM, I installed
Linux Red Had 6.1, and I am using one perticular too called Intershop to do
my day to day transaction, according to the specification of Intershop I
need a machine with 512 Mb RAM, but after installing Linux RH 6.1, I
executed a command "top" to check my system processing, and for my bad luck
the "top" command is listing will all the details alone with the RAM telling
64 Mb...
Now, the problem is that, even after having 128 Mb of ram on my machine, the
Linux is using only 64 as per the specification given by "top" command, Now
I need your help to configure my linux so that I utilizes the whole of my
RAM, I am going to upgrade my RAM by 512 Mb by tomorrow...
Please help me in finding the solution, I just happend to check one of the
mailing list about linux where some one had the same problem, he had
suggested modifing lilo.conf by adding a line saying "mem=128MB", I did
tried that, but it didn't worked... Please help me...
With regards...
Max Mo...
