Hi Ajay,

Thanks for the help. Yes now I run my console at 80x34 instead of the normal
80x25. This was possible using SVGATextMode. It was already installed. After running 
SVGATextMode I had to just configure the /etc/TextConfig file and specify the default 
mode and put /usr/sbin/SVGATextMode in my /etc/rc.d/boot.local scripton my SuSE 6.3 
box. Now everytime during startup my console goes in 80x34 mode.

That's all.
