Well, the /dev entries are all there.
ls -l /dev/dsp:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root sys 9 Apr 18 1999 /dev/dsp -> /dev/dsp0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 14, 3 Apr 18 1999 /dev/dsp0
ls -l /dev/audio:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root sys 11 Apr 18 1999 /dev/audio -> /dev/audio0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 14, 4 Apr 18 1999 /dev/audio0
In any case, aplay can play sound files. I heard 'I am Linus Torwalds' at
least twenty times today. ;-)
