basically u just set u're volume with rexima/aumix and
do 

# alsactl store

u're mixer settings are stored now.

whenever u want to get them back, do 

# alsactl restore

u can stick that in rc.local or use the script
utils/alsasound[.posix] to do the dirty work fer u. 

i dunno if alsactl is included in the tarball, i guess
u could check... i use the CVS version...
