I do ssh right now, but it slows down the retrieval(why dunno). and 
I'm not sitting on a fast enough connection. My ISP has 33.6kbps 
modems.

Am paranoid enough. What I want to know is why the pop authentication 
feature has to rely on un-encrypted password?
